A Word from Josh:
On the schedule, this show appeared likely to fall through the cracks, coming on the eve of Thanksgiving at our most-played venue. But as Chris Berman likes to say, "That's why they play the games!" This show, in fact, may be one of the most talked-about for quite some time. First of all the crowd was awesome; jacked-up, ready to party and bigger than we expected under such circumstances. They really rocked us all night, despite the fact that we were performing without Dann! That's right, our bass player Dann was not with us tonight. On Monday he was diagnosed with Chicken Pox (I know, right?) and, although he was not totally unable to perform, we thought it prudent to avoid exposing his cooties to a room full of people (YOU'RE WELCOME!). So enter Steve Latka, an amazing musician who John and I have known for almost 20 years, to provide the low notes for the evening. He has filled in with us twice before (9/8/06 and 2/12/11), a fact that came in quite handy considering that this time he had only about 36 hours notice. He came through for us with flying colors and we really appreciate the effort he put into bailing us out. He drove to Madison all the way from Chicago where he plays with the popular cover band Arra. The lead singer for Arra is another good friend of ours Ron Platt. In fact, Ron was the best man at my wedding earlier this year. Ron came up to join the fun tonight and even sang a song with us. The talent overfloweth on this evening as another fine musician friend Charles Thomas of the Madison band Lube also joined us on stage for a song. Yes, it was a musical love fest all night and the crowd loved it and we loved them and so on and so on. Well, we've said it a hundred times before, and we'll say it again... Thank You Madison for your continued amazing support. We'll be back in the area in a couple weeks to play at the Club Tavern on December 8. Then we're back here at the Badger Bowl for the best New Year's Eve Party you'll find anywhere! See you there.     -Josh

CP fans:
"Missed seeing Dann playing with you guys. Hope he is recovering from the chicken pox. You guys know how to put on a show---------see ya soon!"

Bittersweeteus:
"Thanksgiving, a holiday where we cherish and give thanks for who and what we have in our life. And what a better way to enjoy the day before this holiday, is with the PIE! They, these five unique talented guys, gave us a performance that was full of electrifying charges that it emanated throughout the whole bar that it gave a warm and heart-felt ambiance. And John, who possesses the best smile and most appealing charisma, rocked our world with the way he made us all feel one with the band and helped us enjoy the rocking sounds that surrounded us throughout the evening. Yes, this was one eventful evening with the different guest entertainers, but most of all, the way CherryPie can bring the house down with the style and hard-core rock'n'roll musical professionalism it made for one awesome night!"
