A Word from Josh: There's a certain question we've been asked quite a few times over the years, so let me answer it once and for all... WE DO NOT PLAY WEDDING RECEPTIONS! Well, tonight we played a wedding reception. Shhhh... don't tell anybody, it's just a secret for those who were there and those who happen to read this. Anyway, obviously it had to be a very special wedding reception for us to make an exception to our rule. After all, WE DO NOT PLAY WEDDING RECEPTIONS! Indeed, Jen and Kevin have become two of our closest friends and we've literally witnessed their relationship unfold in front of us. They met at one our shows (Kevin was wearing a big hair wig) and Kevin proposed to Jen at one of our shows. So we agreed to play at their wedding reception, but still that decision was not without some controversy. As it happened the gig came off spectacularly and we had a great time, both as the entertainment for the evening and as invited guests. So, it worked out this time and we were glad to do it, but along the way we were reminded about some of the things that COULD HAVE gone badly in such a situation, so do not expect us to do this again. Because, WE DO NOT PLAY WEDDING RECEPTIONS! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Lee: "You guys were great. We'll be seeing you at Summerfest!" Kevin: "Guys, just wanted to say thank you very much for making an exception to your rule for us. Our relationship wouldn't be if it weren't for you guys. Thanks for being a part of it, and for being guests as well. Rock on guys." Jen: "Big thanks from me too!!! I'm sure the combination of your love for us, the strong friendship, our stellar ability at rocking hard, and our check book helped sway your decision :) Anyway, the compliments on you guys haven't stopped. You impressed everyone from non-rockers, the staff, to your die hard regulars! Luv you tons and see you soon!" |
