A Word from Josh: It's Memorial Day Weekend, the beginning of Summer, and for the third straight year we played our first outdoor festival show of the year at the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Excellent weather helped us achieve another smashing success in the ol' EHM Beer Tent. As a church festival, this show was family-friendly and many children contributed to the character and fun of the awesome crowd. Unfortunately we had our share of technical difficulties tonight, but that certainly didn't dampen anybody's enthusiasm and the tent remained totally packed right down to the last note. What a great way to stay warm as the temperature dropped dramatically throughout the evening. This was definitely the kind of night when it was easy to be in a good mood. I know I had a great time and when we were hanging out after the show, I could tell the other guys did too. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Melisa: "Awesome show. I loved the sing-a-long! Don't take the tech difficulties to heart - the crowd adores you! ;)" Jennie: "Thanks for rockin' again with me guys. Rippin good nite. Felt good to get my bike to its first festival of the season. Really enjoyed hangin' out with John the next evening for Light Up, glad he stuck around in the neighborhood. See ya at Wed Nite Live!" Jessica C: "I heard you guys were good but WOW, I had a blast! I went to Skid Row the night before and I have to tell you, you guys were 100x better....at least! Can't wait to go to another show!" Bullet: "Every festival season you guys get better and better. I just hope you never realize how good you are and leave the circuit, there's nobody out there rockin' like you. How come Frankie did'nt start his sticks on fire ? Saw that last year at Serbian days and had acid flashbacks !!!" Bittersweeteus: "First outdoor show of the season and it's been a long time coming. It's great to be outdoors in the fresh air and among all ages of fans. CherryPie put on a fun-loving show and John was high-spirited while having fun entertaining the crowd. I always find myself having fun at the shows because I do my own thing, don't care or worry about what people think, and don't fit into the status quo. But most of all, it's because the CP guys are entertaining to watch and listen to." |
