A Word from Josh: It's nice to be back at Mill Creek. It's been a year and a half since our last performance here. Previous to that it was a pretty regular gig for us for many years. Things here haven't changed much, which is good. It's the same stage with the same sound and lights. They also continue to show a lot of cool 80s Rock video on the many TV screens whenever they can. And, yes, they provided us some excellent pizza after the show. I came up to Appleton in the morning and spent the day with my mother who lives less than two miles from Mill Creek. We had hoped that the rock fans in Appleton missed us and would be out in force to welcome us back, but the turn-out was somewhat mediocre. This may have been due, in part, to a very revitalized bar scene in downtown Appleton. A great many drinking establishments were abuzz within a few blocks of Mill Creek, some of them featuring live music of their own, which gave potential customers a lot to choose from. During our break I took a walk and saw some of this expanded night life for myself. Still, we had a good show and much fun was had by all. John spent some of the show singing from on top of the bar Coyote Ugly style. Appleton resident Jake Litwin hung out with us all evening and joined us on stage to play keyboards on a couple of songs. He is the keyboard player for the band 76 Juliet. Appleton is a cool town and it's nice to be back. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
