A Word from Josh: Brock's River Walk is a new venue for us. The bar itself is an impressive room, but there is no stage. Bands set up on the floor in the southwest corner of the building. Fortunately that was not what we had to deal with tonight. An unseasonably warm weather forecast prompted the management to move the show to a temporary stage in a scenic beer garden area behind the bar. Being that the show would now be outdoors the start time had to be moved up from 9:30 pm to 6:30 pm. With only three days notice we did our best to get the word out about the changes. We set up the show under warm and sunny skies in the afternoon and people began trickling in including many familiar faces from the Madison area. By showtime we had a pretty good crowd on our hands. By the end of the first set the place was packed. By this point it was dark and the temperature was falling fast. We feared losing much of our crowd to the elements. But never underestimate the warming power of 80s Rock. We played to a near capacity crowd right to the final note and it was a lot of fun. Apparently our outdoor festival season started early this year. After we finished packing and loading our stage gear it was still only 11:30 so John, Frankie and I joined the party that was now raging with a DJ inside the bar. We met a lot of cool people and had a great time. We are booked to play here again in early November and, who knows?... if it's warm enough, maybe we'll be able to play outside again. -Josh Were you at this show?
