A Word from Josh: The end of Winter has been rumored about for many weeks, but today was the first day beautiful and sunny enough to make us all believers. Speculation of how the pleasant weather might affect tonight's turn-out ran rampant all day. As it turned out, we had another great crowd. Ah yes, the more things change the more they stay the same. In this case, that's a very good thing. For us the most notable thing about this show was something that most of the audience was oblivious to (hopefully)... Matt Wobst became our primary soundman about four and a half years ago. After working with him for a while it felt like he had really developed a strong understanding of the band and managed to dial in an optimal way to make us sound our best. As such the dicision was made to have him mix ALL of our shows, even when venues provide equipment and sound technicians of their own. Since then Matt has almost never missed a show, but tonight was one of those rare occasions. So we relied on the capable skills of Matt Campbell, a soundman I've known for a few years from his days at Papa's Social Club and the Wisconsin State Fair. We appreciate his efforts under challenging technical circumstances. He seemed to do a great job according to the awesome reaction from the large crowd. Things felt a bit difference to us on stage, but the antics on the dance floor and musical enthusiasm throughout the room was all Classic Pie. Again, the more things change the more things stay the same. We have a few more bar shows before the beginning of festival season and we hope that they are all as fun and successful as tonight. -Josh Were you at this show?
