A Slice of the Pie |
A Word from Josh: Tonight's show was exactly what the doctor ordered. The enthusiasm of the crowd was off the hook, spurred on in part by Charles interacting with women of the front row one by one during many of the songs. For most of his musical career Charles has been primarily a guitar player (a very good one BTW) and I think he's enjoying his Cherry Pie experience as a front man with his hands free for a change. I think those women in the front row are enjoying it too. In fact, for some, the excitement got a bit too much late in the show when a fight broke out between two women shortly after we launched into our performance of Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock." We hoped the scuffle would break up quickly but it didn't so we stopped the song and let things calm down a bit. Frankie even suggested that we chill the mood further by playing the ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" before raising the energy level again. Hey, he can have a good idea once in a while. Indeed, this bump in the road did not prevent the show from a typically triumphant conclusion. Overall, it was a spectacular night and a lot of fun for all of us. --Josh Were you at this show?
