A Word from Josh: We were invited to play here in Columbus on the Thursday night of the 4th of July weekend last year and we had a great time. This year they asked us back to play on the Friday night and we had an even better time. This is a true "twilight" show with an open air setting and a first set played in pre-dusk daylight and a second set played after nightfall. John was in a particularly jovial mood all night and at one point challenged a couple of police officers to dance with him off the side of the stage. The rest of the band and the crowd all fed off of that enthusiasm and we had a very successful night. In just two appearances, it seems that the Columbus 4th of July Festival has already become a good tradition for us. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Kimmi: "My first time seeing you guys and it was awesome" Bittersweeteus: "Two nights of coolness in the air, rowdy fans, and a great band, CherryPie. These guys are gonna play us a song, a little bit of rock'n'roll and as the band takes control, the fans are going to let go. They're gonna pick you up and take you away. They're going to get everyone jumping and dancing the night away. So clap your hands, move your feet, to a band who knows how to bring it to the stage. As they are cookin up the music and their instruments are smokin from all the rock that's played on them, yeah, they're gonna get down tonight!!" Lori: "Awesome band" Linda: "The house was packed and the crowd and I totally enjoyed. Rock on my friends." |
