A Word from Josh: Tonight was our third show in four nights and our second consecutive night playing at a festival we've never played at before. This one took place in a large tent set up next to the Saint Bernadette Catholic Parish. Another band played before us in a different part of the tent. It was Jackie Brown and the Boys playing a nice mix of newer and older female-based rock. After they finished playing I struck up a conversation with their guitarist Ted Koth and within a couple minutes we were discussing various concepts of the cosmic reality of the universe. Us guitar players can be weird like that. Our show began and for most of the first set the crowd showed polite appreciation while mostly sitting on their butts. Not very typical for a Pie show. The second set was much better, but my attention was diverted by the face of my wife appearing in the crowd after she had flown in from Mexico. I had not seen her in 10 days and was very happy to find her back where she belongs... shakin' her thang at a Cherry Pie show :-) --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Amy: "Love it!!! Thanks for the awesome job!!!" John: "Awesome show u guys are great" Anonymous fed up fan: "Looked at song sets from last three shows and what can I say, same ole songs same ole situation. Changed only a couple songs but nothing really different. I guess what the lead singer said at a show a while back, backed into a corner of singing new songs and he likes it where he is. Doing the songs over and over and over till they are trampled on and die. And you call yourselves Monsters of Rock, you don't belong in that category only true Rock groups do, whether they are cover bands or real bands from the 80"s!!" Jim: "See you all again soon! and I'm bringing half my office with me cuz they are all "pie-curious"" |
