A Word from Josh:
What can I say? This was a miserable night. The production trailer got stuck in the mud on the way to the stage before the show and that was the start of the fun. Setting up the gear went OK, but we were monitoring a rainstorm approaching from the west. We started the show on time at 8:30 for a crowd of a few hundred that had gathered in the uncovered beer garden. After six songs we stopped and started covering equipment in preparation for the rain that had finally arrived. Most of the crowd crammed into the beer vending pavilion to shelter themselves from the storm. At first we were all hopeful that the rain would pass and we'd be able to resume the show. But the radar images were telling a different story. Eventually, enough water had accumulated on and under the stage that we pulled the plug once and for all in the name of safety. The rain lightened up enough to enable us to pack our equipment into our vehicles in relative peace. But then the rains returned which confirmed that it would have been pointless to try to salvage the show. But the fun wasn't done yet. My car got stuck trying to leave the park and the entire band teamed up to set it free. We were all rewarded by being splattered with mud. Sorry, Marshall. Better luck next year.     --Josh
