A Word from Josh: This was our first Badger Bowl show of the season and, although we've played here dozens of times before, this was our first Badger Bowl show under the tenure of new Badger Bowl general manager Jeff who has brought a fresh new attitude to this venerable venue. Most notable is the new "VIP Area" on the east end of the room decked out with its own bar, sofas, hors d'oeuvres (yum) and a large TV displaying a video feed from the stage (to make up for the poor sight lines to the actual stage). I don't know how one gets into the VIP Area (past the big bouncer dude at the roped-off entrance) but it was packed all night. The rest of the Badger Bowl was pretty full too and we felt the love all night long. This was our second show of the weekend and, although far from perfect, our performance was much better than at last night's show in Appleton. A notable gaffe occurred in the second set during "Wild Side" when part of Frankie's drum set tumbled off the front of the drum riser. Yeah, that's how hard we rock! The crowd was awesome. Madison has been so good to us for 12 years, so why stop now? Thank you Badger Bowl for another great time. For anybody who might be curious, Frankie and I will be back at the Badger Bowl on Thursday, November 15 playing with our side project Josh Becker Electric. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? (Anonymous): "Cherry Pie is a MUST SEE!!!! I have seen them three times now and they have NEVER let me down!!! FUN FUN GROUP!!!" Bittersweeteus: "What an action packed weekend!! First, on Saturday night, CherryPie rocked Badger Bowl with their high-powered, thunderous, performance. As you bring your attention to these guys, there's a feast for your eyes as they play those instruments that makes the rocking sounds that controls the rhythm of the night. And John, who possesses one sexy smile and alluring attributes, helps us hold tight to every note that hits us and entices us to move closer as we will be bowled over by the wonders that we are about to behold. Yeah, these guys put on a show tonight that most definitely needs to be put in the Book of Heavy Metal! And to end this perfect weekend, was watching the Packers kick the ass of the Texans! Which showed the Texans that the Packers are still one outstanding football team! Go Pack Go!!" |
