A Word from Josh: The Horney Goat Hideaway has been a pretty interesting place to play. It's got a pretty cool layout with various bars and both indoor and outdoor elements. But it also has issues. You may recall our last time here was marred by a noise restriction that left us playing at an excruciatingly low volume. This time around we were able to play at a more normal level, largely because the stage was moved to face a different direction, but that stage was also reduced in size making for a more cramped performance. Another accommodation for the noise concern was scheduling the show to run from 9 to midnight. Starting early and playing a shorter show was fine for us, but it didn't seem to jive with the audience, most of whom didn't arrive until our first set was over. Indeed, the second set did rock pretty good until we ended it at the strict 12 o'clock curfew. We didn't even play an encore; a bit anticlimactic if you ask me. On the bright side, the early night left us in a position to join the party hang out with friends until bar time. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Jeanine: "Thank You for celebrating our 5 yr. wedding anniversary!!! I was very surprised and happy! You guys are the BEST!!! The show was like a PRIVATE party!" |
