A Word from Josh: WaunaFest is another one of those large Madison area festivals that we all love so much. We were fortunate enough to play here back in 2004 and had a great time, so we were thrilled to be asked back this year. A lot of people attend this event and with perfect weather we enjoyed playing to a vast crowd that filled the area between the stage and the beer tent. Many familiar faces responded favorably to the new additions to the setlist. Once again John had fun with his invention "Free Beer Baseball" in which he uses a toy baseball bat to hit a toy baseball into the crowd and whoever catches it wins free beer. I think it's destined to be a Wisconsin classic! -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "CherryPie came back from their short hiatus refreshed and totally ready to rock us all. They were well displayed on a nice size stage that over-looked a crowd of rocking, frenzy fans. CherryPie's performance was fresh and exhilarating. And John, their fun-loving frontman, kept these crazed fans in control, and at the same time, made them feel one with the band. It was great to see these guys back on stage doing what they know best, and that's, giving us one hell of a rocking show!!" Christine: "Awesome show as always!!" Kathy: "great time" Ben: "The cover of Angel Eyes was spot on at Waunafest. Not many can pull off Matijevic's vokills." Carmen: "I was a Cherry Pie virgin until last night at Waunafest. Thanks for making it memorable!!! I am a fan forever now and future groupie!!!" Sandie: "You guys Rocked the town! Had fun with everyone and seeing my high school friends was a plus too!" pie fans: "Awesome show! Loved the song Angel Eyes. John did an awesome and then some job on the song. Talk about talent! Love the variety in the music, and new songs as well. Looking forward to seeing you guys again and soon!" |
