A Word from Josh: Grab your raincoats, Festival season has arrived! This was our first time at this particular festival. I had never heard of it, but it's not all that far from my home. It's a pretty big festival in a rural area northeast of West Bend. The stage was set up in a very large tent, which seemed to indicate that they expected a large crowd; something we hoped to deliver. The quality of the tent also seemed to indicate that they expected rain; not surprising considering the name of the festival. Yes, it did rain... quite a bit, starting about an hour before showtime. Not to worry as this only served to draw the many people that were already at the festival into our tent. The crowd was pretty strong as the rain fell throughout the evening. We enjoyed playing on the large stage, especially as we debuted some new material that we were pretty excited about. We met quite a few Cherry Pie virgins who seemed to enjoy the band. At the end of the night the festival organizer brought us burgers and brats which always makes for a happy tear-down. The rain was still falling hard as we loaded our vehicles. "Maybe you should call it the Boltonville Sunny Days Festival," suggested John. "Or better yet, call it the Boltonville Sexy Naked Chicks Festival." Yeah, we'd play that. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "What an exciting Memorial Day weekend. To kick it off, CherryPie performed in a small town, Boltonville, where a small festival is the activity for the evening. CherryPie is the entertainment for this festival and they are located under a huge tent that is providing protection from the wet weather outside. CherryPie put on a performance that was like rumbling thunder, strong and intense. And John, who rock emanates from his very soul, showed everyone that having rock in our lives is, "nothing but a good time"! A long drive and rain to contend with, was well worth it. Because these talented five guys know how to bring rock to our busy lives and help us escape it for one unforgettable night of fun and lively entertainment. Plus I really like the addition of the three new songs to the song sets. I especially liked the one, Hold the Line by Toto. That one really brings back special memories of the past." hooked fans: "What a weekend! Saw both shows with-in 3 days. You guys are sooo good! Can't get enough---! Just wish the weather had been better.John can sing anything-see you soon!" |
