| A Word from Josh: Beautiful weather may have caught Madison with one foot out the door into the summer season, or so it seemed early as we took the stage in front of a rather sparse crowd. But the room did manage to fill in quickly and there was certainly no lack of enthusiasm among the faithful as we soon found ourselves having a typically Madison-style good time. Perhaps the most memorable thing about this show will be the fact that Frankie's snare drum head split completely right down the middle the first time he hit it. As the consummate professional that he often his, Frankie still managed to rock us like a hurricane during the first few songs using the other drums creatively as our trusty stage-mule Kevin worked feverishly backstage to replace the drum head. The whole situation landed on its feet quite well as few people probably even noticed that there was a problem. After Midnight John suitably paid tribute Mother's Day, a special day celebrating the invaluable role these very special women play in each of our lives. As an 80s Rock Band, mothers make up a very kick-ass chunk of our demographic and we wish all of you mothers out there a very wonderful day with the ones you love. Our festival season gets underway in a couple weeks and we have many outdoor shows in the Madison area to get excited about. As John told the crowd, "You're gonna be sick of us by the time Summer is over." So grab your bug repellant, limber up your beer-drinking wrist and meet us at the fair for what is sure to be another spectacular Summer of Pie! -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Tim: "I was at the show last Saturday and man, it's amazing how many sh**ty songs you guys know. I mean, I was looking forward to a night wall to wall sh** rock and you guys provided! you totally took me back to my days in high school when I sat by the radio and waited for the next awful, awful song to blare through the speakers of my boombox machine. You guys seriously suck, I mean rock, no... I guess I mean both. Rock out!" Sandie: "The show rocked and as always Frankie rocked the show broken drum head and all! Fun night of dancing and friends!" Bittersweeteus: "Here we are at Badger Bowl, the last inside venue show in the Madison area before CherryPie hits the road of summer. There was a fair turnout, but CherryPie doesn't need a lot of fans to rock the house. Once CherryPie hit the stage, their performance was adrenaline charged that you could feel it flowing through your veins. And John, who gets more intriguing every show with his debonair looks and the most unyielding perseverance, broke lose and showed us his awesome wild side as he lead us through a night where inhibitions let go. It was a on fire show that ended with CherryPie's signature encore, Enter Sandman, and John doing Aaron Rodgers signature move, the action of putting on the championship belt. What a fantastic way to bring in Mother's Day, a honorable holiday for those wonderful and beautiful mothers out there that nurture, love and support us all. Plus, I am really looking forward to traveling that road of summer with CherryPie. Enjoying the warmth of the sun, warm summer breezes, and experiencing CherryPie in a whole new environment."
