A Word from Josh: Let's see... this week Shane announced that he's be leaving the band and I announced that I'm getting married. Other than that, a pretty typical week in the world of Cherry Pie. This was another typically great show at Rooters with a typically big crowd in typically good voice all night. In particular, there were a LOT of people in the upper level; we're grateful that it didn't collapse when everybody was jumping during "Living on a Prayer." In typical fashion we celebrated several birthdays, most notably our long-time friend and one-time stage tech Colleen Evans and our own aforementioned bass player Shane (guess which one is older). I think we brought a strong show to the table and John worked the crowd with the power and finesse that the evening demanded. Overall, a really fun time... Typical. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "What a freaking weekend! Two action-packed shows and the unbeaten Packers making it to a 12-0 win!! Now if this doesn't make it a great weekend, I don't know what else would. To start the weekend off, both shows were highly-motivating and drew the people into watch the action of these guys do what they do best, rock the night away. And John, who is predominant through his willingness to endure, brilliant charisma and manly demeanor, carried the band and fans through the night with a great game plan that included winning songsets. Both shows were well played and scored very high in this year of rock! And to end the weekend, the Packers played a edge of the seat, intense game, and when it was over, the Packers prevailed as the great team they are." Teresa: "thanks for making it an awesome weekend! love you guys!!" Dawn: "Thanks for the great time many good memories with u Shane thanks for all the good times." Kirk Quinbar: "Celebrating my birthday too with friends in the corner. thanks Shane for coming over and doing the "jump around" with us!" |
