A Word from Josh: Wow, what a great crowd. Oshkosh came out to party tonight and I think we delivered the goods. There was a buzz in the air surrounding our bass-player Shane who, just a couple of days ago, announced that he will be leaving the band effective January 1st. This news is quite shocking to many and is eliciting a wide variety of emotions from everybody. As with any significant change in life there is sadness mixed with celebration of the past and optimism for the future. Indeed, this is time for somber reflection as well as a time to pump up the volume and get fall-down drunk. Tonight, we had it all. Shane himself set the tone with a giddy attitude and celebratory mood. Expressions of appreciation for his 12 years of rockin' service as an integral piece of The Pie has begun pouring from every corner and will no-doubt continue for the rest of the month. Speaking of which, Shane's "Farewell Tour" will include one more trip to Oshkosh on December 17 when we play at Timbuktu. 'Hope to see you there. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Dan: "awesome show" mds: "Had a load of fun, and really needed it! AWESOME way to start an activity full weekend... more to come just like it, I hope (Shane - we'll miss ya')" Buzzkill69: "Great show as usual. You guys rock. Hopefully you can find a replacement for Shane that is just as good. He will be missed ! Good luck Shane" |
