A Word from Josh: This 4th of July festival lasted all weekend, which created a bit of confusion when we told people that we were playing a 4th of July show on July 3rd. But plenty of people figured it out and joined us for a Yankee Doodle Dandy time. Lots of old friends came out of the woodwork for this family-friendly affair making for a big crowd full of familiar faces, some of whom we haven't seen for a long time. This was an especially welcome sight following the wet time we endured far from home two nights ago. The show went pretty smoothly, except for at the beginning of "Long Time" when a partial power failure knocked out the guitars and keyboards for about a half a minute. Overall it was a very fun gig with just the right combination of family, beer, patriotism and 80s Rock. Happy 4th of July everybody! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Angela: "So glad I was able to make this! You guys rock!" Anna: "That was a lot of fun!!" Brittany: "OMG!! love u guys it was AMAZING!!!" Dee: "Great show as always last night guys, got my slice of Cherry Pie fix in, had a great time, you all rocked it as always. Happy 4th of July" Carrie: "You guys ROCKED!!" Misty: "Good Times had by all!!!" Bittersweeteus: "What a quaint festival, but with the beautiful weather, it sure did bring out the people. There was a bountiful of food stands and rides, and amongst it all, under a huge tent, you could find the heavy-metal sounds of CherryPie. They played each instrument with power and drive which together, produced a sound that drives right through you. And John, who has a ass-kicking attitude that's unstoppable and the brawn to back it up, knows how to wake the dead and make everyone "Metal Health" crazy. These bad boys of rock are gonna set you right by rocking hard and turning you into a head-banging rocking machine. And after hearing these guys play some awesome rock you need to ask yourself - "do you wanna it, do you need it"?!!" Erock: "It was so good to see Cherry Pie again. I have not been out to see you in a very long time and as usual you guys ROCKED!!!! I had a great time. Thank you!" |
