A Word from Josh:
Our Tour of Dane County took us the northwest portion tonight for a show at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie. The event is called "Motors & Music." Tonight, we're the "Music" part of that equation (I assume). We'd played on this stage once before back in 2003 for an event called "Party in the Park." I gotta say that "Motors & Music" has a much more Macho ring to it... vroooom vroooom! It's a nice wooden stage at one end of a large pavilion. The most notable feature of this pavilion is the metal roof, which rattles loudly when presented with certain loud low-end frequencies. Our soundman Mark has some fun before soundcheck by isolating the lows in the PA on a Queensryche recording and making the roof sound like a thunderstorm. Fun with Physics! The show went well as we entertained a beer-drinking crowd containing many familiar faces (and a slew of June Bugs) with our brand of 80s Rock. This was very much a "home gig" for John who has lived in Sun Prairie for the past ten years. Many thanks to "Motors & Music" for inviting us to participate in this fun event.     --Josh
