A Word from Josh:
It's Memorial Day Weekend which means Summer is finally here. Never mind that we didn't have much of a Spring. Personally, I've had a very busy week playing several solo shows and as a member of two other bands since Thursday. But I saved the best for last. Cherry Pie's headlining set on Monday afternoon was my 7th show in 5 days and it was a total blast. The heat combined with heavy wind gusts made for some very bad hair (mine was the worst). But I'm being picky. The family festival vibe was amazing and the excitement of rocking out to a sun-bathed mass of humanity never gets old. This show set a great tone for our Summer yet to come. In the next two weeks we'll be playing three more shows in Dane County (see Schedule) and, as John told the crowd, we'll be changing up the setlists pretty drastically for each one. The staff at Brat Fest were unbelievably hospitable and we really enjoyed the entire experience. For the weekend, I ate a total of 12 brats (all part of the tradition). Being a Monday, the four day festival came to an end when we finished our set a little after 6 pm which afforded me enough daylight to mow my back yard when I got home.     --Josh

Amy:
"Took in my first Cherry Pie show this weekend at Brat Fest! What took me so long? You guys ROCK! Used to be a big TOYS fan back in the day - good to see you still rockin' Josh!"

Lorene:
"Great seeing you again at Bratfest! You guys played a great show! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!"

Bittersweeteus:
"The sun's shining, nice breeze, and a great 80's rock coverband, CherryPie, now that makes for one fine day at the Bratfest. CherryPie was the headliner for the day and they definitely wore the name well. They had a time slot of two hours and they filled it with fantastic songs and an performance that was at the top of their game. And John, who has an appealing charisma and a physique to match, kept things exciting with his high-spirited antics and the way he flowed from one song to the next. It turned out be one great show that went fast and an outstanding way to entertain the many that helped contribute to many a charity."

Fans of the band:
"Awesome show guys! It just gets better and better with each show-loads of fun and talent. See ya next time-Until then-KEEP ON ROCKIN!"
