This was our fourth straight year at Verona Hometown Days and counting. Unlike past years, this time we had to deal with threatening skies. Although we never got much rain, we feared that the ominous clouds might keep people at home. Well, as it turns out, we were worried for nothing as we were greeted by an awesome crowd similar to past years, and anybody who did stay home missed one Hell of a party. Atop the new and improved stage we were able to put on the kind of show I think the 3000-plus in attendance deserved. In return the crowd gave us the love and enthusiasm that I think we deserved. It was a win-win situation. Helping us with our show was Dann Walters who was playing bass for the evening as Shane was out playing wingback for the Ivory Coast soccer team at the World's Cup. Dann was a big hit with many of the female attendees I spoke to. He did a great job and you could see the effort he puts into his performance in the way he sweated (or maybe it was the hot leather pants). Thanks to everybody who helped make the evening magical. Keep in mind that, if you're in the mood for more PIE, we have several more shows in the Madison area in the coming weeks. Check out the schedule and we'll see you again soon. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Mike: "Hey guys! Awesome performance! You put on a great show!" Bill: "My hearing is messed up." Kris: "Great gig! You guys rock!" Rick: "Two days later and i still cant hear. Great job." Megan: "Frank was awesome!!" (Anonymous): "John was awesome! Missed Shane though-great show, and we'll see you guys again real soon-Keep on Rockin!" Nikki: "I have to say that Frankie is mesmerizing to watch! It's like watching 2 shows in 1. (I have a crush on him and yes, my husband knows)" Bittersweeteus: "What can I say, these CP guys were really stoked! They tore up that stage with their heavy rocking performance. And John, who has the most infallible strong aggressive attitude, fantastic stamina, and a physique and demeanor to back it up, put on his own heavy metal performance. From your stellar performance, John ruling the stage and controlling the crowd, and other things that happened which are too many to mention, it turned out to be a show that went way beyond impressive and phenomenal." |
