Look at the news these days and you see a lot about people like Tiger Woods and Ben Roethlisberger getting themselves into a lot of trouble. They ought to know that they should leave all that hard-core partying to the experts... MUSICIANS! Case in point: Tonight was a spectacular example of sex, booze and rock n'roll in its natural habitat. It wasn't a golf tournament, it wasn't a football game, it was a F***ing Cherry Pie Show!!! Wow, what a party. The people at the Dry Bean have always provided us with good times over the years and it just keeps getting better! The packed house was in high spirits, at least partly because of some high spirits called Cherry Pie Liqueur, a beverage made by a local company that was having a special promotion at the Bean tonight. How clever! We were enabled to give away free Cherry Pie Shots from the stage as well as T-shirts and thongs that said "Try My Pie!" on them. Like any band, we're always trying to win over audiences with good song choices, strong performances and engaging showmanship. But when you can give away free booze!?... that's just too easy!!! It was like tossing raw meat into a crowded pool of hungry piranhas. So yeah, tonight was awesome in so many ways from start to finish. It was enough to make Mr Roethlisberger wish he had stuck with those piano lessons. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Kris: "Great Show!" Dinyel: "Cherry Pie ROCKS!!!!!!!!!" Gabriela: "Had a great time. Thank you CP!" (no name): "Great show guys! You totally rock! A little too crowded--should do a 10 year one oustside. What's with the schedule?" |
