A word from Josh: "You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye who cheer when soldier lads march by, Sneak home and pray you'll never know the hell where youth and laughter go." -- Siegfried Sassoon (1917) Over the years John has told audiences countless times how thankful we are to the members of our military for risking all and sometimes giving all in defense of our right to rock n'roll. Tonight was a rare opportunity to express those thoughts to an audience made up largely of veterans and the people closest to them. In our culture of celebrity where so many are distraught every time a movie star stubs their toe, it is all too common to overlook the plights of heroes right under our noses. Today we learned that Bret Michaels is dealing with a very serious medical issue. As fans it is natural for us to express support for his fight. We invite you to extend that show of support to veterans affected by war and their families, many of whom engage in similar struggles in relative obscurity, and whose sacrifices affect our lives in ways we usually take for granted. "Support Our Troops" doesn't just have to be a bumper sticker. If you're not sure what you can do, might I suggest simply giving a few dollars to a reputable veterans charity organization. It was a large, hard-rocking crowd out for a good time and very supportive of the cause. We were the last of four bands to perform throughout the evening. I wasn't able to see the first two bands but I did catch the third one. As the name suggests, Racine's own Razor's Edge is a Tribute to AC/DC and they rocked the full house with AU-THOR-I-TAY! During our set we invited their singer and drummer to perform an AC/CD tune with us which was a lot of fun. Later, during our encore Frankie invited the members of all the other bands to join us on stage for a gang sing-along on "Living After Midnight." The crowded stage epitomized the brotherhood a lot of people were feeling all night. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Jen: "I can NOT thank you guys enough for being a part of this!! AND, awwww you listed Mike as Stage Tech!!!! Luv you all TONS!!!!! XOXO" Jerry Ricchio: "How awesome it was to jam with Cherry Pie!
