A Word from Josh:
I woke up Thursday morning in a tropical paradise on a beach in Jamaica. So, naturally I was thrilled to be in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on this chilly October evening. But hey, how can you not have a good time when you're churning out the greatest 80s rock tunes to a room packed with people who like that sort of thing. In fact, I think tonight's show went better than our last visit to Oshkosh, which is really saying something. The staff was great and the crowd really lit a fire under our collective asses... even Shane, who preferred to spend the night in the back next to the drums rather than fight for space on the front of the narrow stage with us freaky long-hairs. Like last week, we even had a reckless stage-diver, although in this case it was completely by accident, which made it a lot funnier. Another part of the fun was the celebrating of several birthdays including those of our friend Kris and our soundman Mark. Hey, if you're gonna get older, you'd might as well do it while 80s rock blares in your face... if you like that sort of thing.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Kris:
"You guys sure do know how to make a gal feel special- Happy Birthday to me! Thank you so much for the card and guitar..I'll hang it on the wall and worship it daily- and some day, when you're all MORE famous than you ALREADY are.. I'll be able to SELL it for big bucks!! One parting comment, because I'm a gal of few words ( ha ha), NOBODY PUTS SHANER IN A CORNER! If you can't ALL be "front and center" during the show.. you should SERIOUSLY consider not playing the venue!! Hugs to you all! See you at the Bean!!"

Kip Swinger:
"After being somewhat disappointed by a fairly tame Mill Creek performance, I decided to give the Pie and their fans another chance to redeem themselves. Boy, am I glad that I did! I'm not sure if there was a full moon Saturday night or Oshkosh fans just craves 80s music more than Appleton fans, but the antics I experienced Saturday night brought back memories of some of the old O' Briens shows where just about everyone in the house was having the time of their lives high fiving everyone that passed by them. Good times indeed! I hope you guys will one day consider bringing more of the old material back into the set lists...I miss hearing "Wait", god damnit! As for the Appleton audiences, maybe a new venue like Tanner's or Waverly Beach (I mentioned them to John after the show) is in order? We love you up here and hope you'll visit more often!!"

Kayla Ann:
"Your show rocked my world! Rock it!!!"

Jen:
"We had a blast, can't wait till you come back to Oshkosh!!"

New Groupie:
"You guys ALWAYS put on a fab show no matter how SMALL the venue!!! I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as my friends and I enjoyed "having you" here in Oshkosh!!!! Thanks for the drumstick FRANKIE!! We hope you continue to play in this area, we would LOVE to see you AGAIN!!!"

oldsoundman:
"Thank's guys for the card and b-day shout out! It's a great way to get free shots. (I hope it didn't effect the mix - ha ha!)"

PWPirateGirl:
"Thank you for the great entertainment!!! This weekend was our "girls weekend" where 5 of us from high school got together for some shopping and fun! We ran into someone earlier in the afternoon who suggested we come to the show. I'm so glad we did. You helped us "relive" our high school days. I'm only sorry we left early. I ran into Josh on the way out who asked why we were leaving so soon... and now I'm wondering the same thing! (Josh, we didn't have a good time after we left!) I plan on coming to see the show, the whole show, and nothing but the show the next time!!!!!"
