I had one thing on my mind all day... The sexy Halloween costumes that were sure to be on display during tonight's show. I was not disappointed. We had a devil, a nurse, Pocahontas, Dorothy, Catwoman, a pair of Spartan women and plenty of old fashioned groupies. The place was crawling with Halloween-Character-ILFs. The ladies certainly had something to look at as well, including a couple very buff (and shirtless) Spartan soldiers. The top prize of the costume contest went to a Skelator-type character who stood over 7-feet tall. Second prize went to a Cookie Monster & Oscar the Grouch combo that did a very amusing gansta rap to help seal the deal. Amidst the holiday festivities a Cherry Pie show did take place. We've always enjoyed the extra-large stage here at Kelly's II. That kind of elbow room can make a band feel like a bunch of rock stars, especially with a hot crowd filling in the space in front of us. Kelly's II has recently come under new management and we could see many indications throughout the night that the new bosses are eager to make this as good a venue as possible. We look forward to our next visit here next month. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Bittersweeteus: "Now this is a change, a Halloween costume contest after the most popular mischievous night of the year. There were quite a few fans in costumes and each one showed their own individualism and talents. CherryPie provided their own talents through each band member's unique style which when blended together produces a harmonious sound which in turn makes for one impeccable performance. Then there's John, who looks really sexy in whatever he wears and has the most alluring charisma, was able to keep everyone entertained with his own fun-loving and high-spirited talents. After two weeks of dealing with stress from life itself, it sure felt great to let go and forget everything for one night. I must say, I really enjoyed myself and plus, from what I witnessed, actions do speak louder than words, but at the same time, it's also nice to have an enjoyable conversation, no matter what it's about, when actions just aren't enough." (anonymous): "btw the Spartan soldiers were not buff" Jennie: "What a great Halloween bash. I wish I had worn a costume they were all so great. But I think I would have fallen into the CP groupie catagory. Thanks again for playing "We All Die Young" one of my favorites. Your energy on stage is top notch!" CindyLouWho: "By far the best CP concert I have been to!!! You guys are awesome. Thanks for letting me dance on stage :)" Debbie & Gary: "What a great way to celebrate Halloween. Partying with the Pie guys. Ya'll did a wonderful job and we could tell that you were having a great time on stage. For a while there, it seemed that a group of girls up front was just going to take Shane of the stage for themselves. But it didn't happen. It was nice to see a lot of the Pie gang there. You know it doesn't matter where they play or what holiday it is "THE PIE ROCKS". XXXXOOOO" cp fan: "Was an awesome show with awesome costumes to go with it. Had a great time. How come the band didn't wear costumes? Until the next time-keep rockin!" |
