A Word from Josh: Summer is almost over and we're still running on all cylinders. "The only good thing about the end of summer," commented John, "Is the beginning of football season!" Many in the large crowd seemed to agree. Tonight, more than ever, we saw a large contingent of under-age fans who have caught Cherry Fever in the last few weeks. I'm not talking about the little kids who are forced to endure our brand of 80s rock with their parents (they're cool too). But rather, these are high school kids you really seem to have taken 80s rock and old school metal to heart. I don't know any of their names, but we've been seeing more and more of them at each of these festival shows. Unfortunately, they won't be able to come to any more shows for a while so we'd like to thank them now for the support they've shown this summer. There were many other supportive people in the crowd who we do expect to keep seeing in the coming weeks and to keep getting sh*t-faced at our shows. One of them was birthday girl Misty who came up and sang a song with us. John made a special point to mention next week's show which will take place in a beer tent outside of the Coach House Grill in Big Bend. It is part of a benefit weekend to assist our former drummer and good buddy Nick Bartolotta who was badly burned in a work accident last year. "If you're gonna come to just one Cherry Pie show in September," said John, "Please make it that one!" --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Rocka: "God guys, that was an awesome show. I'm sure you might remember me, I was front row with 2 of my friends all night. Thanks so much guys, this was an awesome way to end the summer. I'll try to make the Coach House Grill show, but I doubt it. ROCK ON!" Christina: "great show you guys...thanks for takin pics with me and my sis and best friend...you guys are awesome. my guy was there and thought you guys kicked major ass...till next time.." Misty: "Thanks again for the best birthday gift a girl could ask for... getting a chance to sing with you guys last night was INCREDIBLE! What can I say, you guys are the greatest!" Ben Jammin: "Good show.Liked the intro before you guys play.Keep Rockin!" Annie: "First time I saw the show---it was awesome! A friend suggested we me - she's seen Cherry Pie multiple times this summer. I know I'll be back!!" Heather: "Kick Azz show!! YOU GUYS ROCK!" Bittersweeteus: "Don't you just love the carnival. With the food stands, rides, and games. And amidst all this, is CherryPie, who leads you into a 80's rock fantasy. They played hard and fast. And John, who puts on his fantasy show, with the way he trys to entice the women with his body movements. The show was a crazy train ride, so I hope everyone enjoyed it while it lasted. And before I close, Thursday officially starts the NFL season, so I wonder, will the Packers rise to the challenge??" Linda: "Awesome show as usual!! My friend and I have become Cherry Pie groupies!! Frankie u rock =O" Laura B: "FANTASTIC SHOW!!! I have to say this was the best show Cindy has dragged me to so far this year! You guys we so "ON" and it looked as if you were having the times of your lives and that transfered over to the audience. Frankie thank you for the drum stick for Cassie she slept with it, I do not think I will ever pry it out of her hand! As always I am amazed at every show, walking was saying, that was awesome, couldn't be any better and every time I come see you again, you prove me wrong! Well worth the 2 hr drive to see you! Thanks for ROCKIN'" |
