A Word from Josh: A frigid cold streak followed by several days of snow and occasional blizzard conditions, have gotten things to the point where even the heartiest Wisconsinite is ready to say "Enough Already!" Tonight we were fortunate enough to catch a break in the weather allowing us and our supporters to access the venue without incident. Apparently such was not the case last night when our friends the Sweet Tarts had to cancel their show at Kelly's II after one of their vehicles got stuck in the snowy weather. Ah, there but for the grace of God... Anyway, we made it to the bar and were welcomed by a pretty strong crowd. We couldn't be sure, but it seemed like the audience was skewing sharply female; more so than usual. Especially near the stage where women outnumbered men by at least 10 to 1. We'll take that as a good sign. I'm not sure why, but we will. And, you know, they say that you usually shouldn't wear horizontal stripes, but there were several young ladies up front who were pulling it off in spectacular fashion. There were a whole lot of birthdays being celebrated plus plenty of other excuses for having a really good time. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Fan: "Just a great show . The lights/the sounds/ the tight jeans. All was working. Keep rockin guys . We love it ." Rahny Taylor: "So I saw you guys last weekend for the 1st time and loved it! Thanks for bringing my back to the 80's!" Bittersweeteus: "The way March came in with the fierceness of a lion, is the same way CherryPie took the stage. As they started to play those instruments, they tore into them with such aggressiveness, that the sounds that came out of them were heart-pounding. And John, who has the physic and agility of a well-trained football player, used his fixed energy to stick to his convictions of making sure everyone had a great time. I definitely had a great time before and during the whole show, that I hated to go home. But then, that's what gives me the determination to keep going as much as I can." Sarah: "I had so much fun!! You know I turned down backstage passes to Cheap Trick so that I could celebrate my birthday with all my girlfriends at a CP show? It was a blast, thanks guys! " |
