A Word from Josh: This was our second time in this room. It's a nice bar but, I must say, there is something about this place that makes for a more "reserved" Cherry Pie show. Perhaps it's a combination of the way the place is laid out, the high amounts of ambient light and the cramped modular stage. But the energy level never seems to get as ballistic as in many other rooms. Still, we had a nice time rocking with many fun-loving people. I've said before that Green Bay crowds have always seemed a bit fickle, loving you one song & hating you the next. Tonight was no exception to that. Personally, I know that I was not on top of my game. Traveling from 150 miles away on very little sleep and dealing with minor technical problems throughout the show, I've certainly had better nights. Indeed, it was one of those nights when I'm glad that John was up front singing his ass off and rocking the crowd with wild abandon. He's pretty reliable for that. Again, I was amazed at how many people came from great distances to catch this show. That kind of support blows my mind and we are very appreciative of it. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Geri: "The show ROCKED!! Green Bay will never be the same ;)" Aimee: "We drove from Greenville to see you guys and you did NOT disappoint. You are an incredible band and I hope to see you soon in the Greenville/Appleton area. Thanks for bringing the "80's Rock" to us!!!!" Bittersweeteus: "Now this is definitely a sports bar. You can tell by the different types of games that are played. And it's something how some can continue even while the band is still performing. It's intriguing on how competitive they can become. The guys performed like they usually do, with their heart and soul. And John with his antics, was turning the place into a psycho circus. But I wonder, who was the real ringmaster of the show." Diamond Dave: "Hey everyone--nice to see that you were the first to comment Geri--ROCK ON!!! I agree with Josh's assessment of this show. It rocked but the crowd was lacking. Lets face it, there were a lot of lame asses there that night! People, it is a rock show. It is all about having fun and letting go. Drink, Sing, Dance, whatever...but don't just sit there eating wings or playing darts or hitting on women that don't want anything to do with you. Cherry Pie Rocks and put on a KICK ASS show. People just need to wake the F' up and smell the Aqua Net!!!!! Thanks for coming guys. Please know that those of us who like to Rock really appreciate the long haul you made and we loved it! By the way...when is your next 80's party Geri??!!" |
