A Word from Josh: Shortyz has one of the best stages we've ever played on. It's big, tall and lies under a vaulted ceiling which makes for an awesome light show. So, what a pity it is that so relatively few people have seen us here. Perhaps the bitterly cold temperatures had something to do with it this time, but the disappointing turn-outs at both of our shows here might make one wonder if this room, nestled off the beaten path between Jefferson and Fort Atkinson, might be a bit too hard for some people to find. So, of course, we really appreciated all of those who did venture out into the cold dark night to get themselves a hot piece of PIE. In fact, the show went pretty well and we quickly found ourselves among an elite crowd ready to party. And we had plenty of reason to do just that with not one but TWO band member birthdays being celebrated this week. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Kris: "What a crazy night- from doughnuts in the parking lot.. to air hockey inside.. we Lodi gals sure did have a nice time. We're GREATLY looking forward to celebrating our gal Dana's "last birthday ever" at the BEAN in a couple weeks!! Take care till then...." Teresa Prusinski: "you guys Rocked as always!" fan: "just a ? why dont you plan on takin a bus full of Pie fans to the next Shortyz show?" Bittersweeteus: "It's hard sometimes to say what's on my mind plus find the words that best describes the shows. I guess that's mainly due to the fact that so many intriguing things happen and that it's difficult to choose what really stands out. But one thing that's not hard to describe is the performance of the band. They never fail to put on one impeccable show! And as for John, he has that irresistible smile and charisma, plus he seems to know what the crowd wants. So he tries to please them by leading them into a night of hard rockn', unrestrained fun. So in closing, no matter the challenges I may face in writing about the shows, I will deal with them head on and describe the shows the best I can." blastaduke: "Awesome Whitesnake debut!!! Still waiting for Slaughter...? P.S. Blatz cans don't float" Motus: "Kick A** show! Even the frigid cold can't keep the best rockers down. I liked the layout of Shortyz, it is very conducive to the great sound you guys put out!!!" |
