A Word from Josh: This was our first outdoor summer show of the year and I sure hope that it's typical of what is to come over the next few months because this was an awesome show. The festival itself was quite impressive (despite not having a web site, what's up with that!?) complete with amusement park rides and plenty of food and drink of all types. The stage was good and the tent was big and tall allowing our full production to look and sound its best in front of a whole lot of people. The huge crowd included a lot of familiar faces along with a lot of folks of all ages checking us out. Some of the guys from Rhythm Method, who had played on the same stage the night before, came out and hung out with us. We were all able to feed off of the great crowd, especially down the stretch when things started getting silly. For the second night in a row our show included a great Memorial Day dedication from John and an impromptu performance of "Enter Sandman" during the encore. Tonight, the encore went on for quite a while as everything felt so good, we didn't want to stop. In fact if it weren't for the neighborhood noise rules we'd still be playing. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Beier family: "Awesome show! I really liked hearing Josh sing "Goodbye." It was great to bring our baby girl to her 1st Cherry Pie show, & probably not her last, even if we didnt stay that long! We got to hear a lot of favorites like "Working For The Weekend," "Talk Dirty To Me", "Dont Stop Believin'", & of course "Goodbye." I really appreciated all the attention you guys gave Christina & making us feel like part of the group even though we havent been coming to shows as regularly as we used to. Cherry Pie has been a part of our life for a really long time & now it can be part of our child's too!" I Love Pie: "I was unable to attend the show do to prior plans and i see you guys played enter sandman please keep playing this so I can get a chance to hear it" Debbie & Gary: "What a great show. We had a wonderfull time. Enjoyed the new songs. Look foward to seeing you guys this Thur. June 8th at "Taste of Summer". Have a great weekend and week." Bittersweeteus: "Got to love those outdoor shows. Plenty of room, fresh air, and fun-loving crowds. The CP guys started their first outside venue with a vengance. They gave everyone a performance that proved that they can out do any elite coverband. And John who exhibited his virile attributes and stamina, was able to out last the most challenging fan. With a great song set and three hard-rockn' encore songs, this was a great beginning to a long list of summer shows." Charles Bruss: "This was the first time I saw you guys perform! And wow what a show! You guys really do the hair bands and their classics total justice. I have been a fan ever since. I will be coming to the State Fair on August 9th to catch your show at the Bud. Later dudes!" |
