A Word from Josh:
This was our first time ever at this venue and our first time in Appleton in over four years. We knew coming in that Mill Creek had a great reputation and has been honored by WAMI as one of the best live music venues in the state. After we arrived it quickly became obvious that these accolades had nothing to do with the physical facility. Wedged in the middle of a downtown city block Mill Creek is a small bar. The stage is deep but very narrow and uneven. During the show I hit my head several times on a TV mounted on the wall. Indeed it turns out that Mill Creek has earned their reputation through pure attitude. They treated us great and whenever we weren't playing they showed awesome 80s Rock videos on their multiple TV screens throughout the bar. I'm talkin' about videos for the true fans of Big Hair music including such semi-obscure artists as Kix, Tora Tora, Alcatraz and Trixter. It was great fun reminiscing as the music played. Mill Creek had also teamed up with WAPL 105.7 FM for their Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Radiothon which raised over $40,000 in just two days. It also helped generate great publicity for tonight's show. The resulting overflow crowd turned Mill Creek into a big cattlecar well before we took the stage. Our show released a lot of heat and intensity within a small space. This was the recipe for a wild night, the kind of night that we could really enjoy despite dealing with a fair amount of technical demons. One amusing glitch occurred early on when the fog generator went berzerk and flooded the stage with too much smoke. John tried to unplug it but accidentally unplugged one of my keyboards instead. Overall, Appleton showed us a great time and we're grateful for the support. We look forward to returning soon.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

Steve:
"Great show tonight. Lots of female distractions up front! Come back to Appleton soon."

yonks:
"Once again the Pie delivered hard core 80's big hair rock. It was great to see you guys come up North. You did not dissappoint, it was great talking to Johnny and Lucious Rod before the show. Can't wait to see you guys in Ripon again this year and at Waukesha. Cherry Pie is proof that you can still rock in America!!! \--/"

Sonicwife:
"Had a blast seeing you guys rock at Mill Creek last weekend! Lots of fun...lots of energy...lots of excellent tunes! Great choice for our girls night out! I was still finding confetti in my clothes at 4:00am...Thank you for music that rocks!"

Ron Mehlbrech:
"It was nice to one of our favorite bands ever, come up north to where the best fans ever are. We traveled 70 miles from Plover and were not disapointed, one of the greatest shows up here since you played at 4-Stools Short, you really have to be a fan to go that far back. Any upcoming shows with Nightranger would be awesome, you remember Canal days in Portage, don't you."

Bruce:
"WAPL said if you close your eyes at the show it would be hard to tell if it was the original artist or Cherry Pie. I thought no-way , no one's that good live. I was gladly mistaken. Best show I've seen in years."

Toe Knee V:
"Can't thank you guys enough. Our employees had as much fun as the crowd. If you liked it this time just wait until next time. \nnnn/"
