A Word from Josh: Another great crowd greeted us at the Dry Bean. Things seemed to be at full-throttle right from the first few notes and it was very exciting. And just when you think it couldn't get any better, it does. Early in the second set during parts of "Living on a Prayer" the lights shined out in the audience and I was stunned by the hundreds of people raising their fists and screaming along with the song all the way to the back of the packed room. It was one of the most awe-inspiring sights I've ever seen in a club setting. I know we're just a local cover band, but I try not to take for granted these moments that we get to experience from time to time that most other people just fantasize about. I love this job. BTW, it looks like this may be our last gig in the Madison area for several months. Over the years this has become a familiar pattern. Awesome fans pack the Madison clubs for us all Winter, but when Summer comes nobody in Dane County wants to hire us. What's up with that? Oh well, we do have a pretty awesome Summer schedule and, if I can drive a few miles to get to the gigs, I hope some of you can too. 'See ya on the road. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Shad: "Dude you guys rocked my ass tonight!! Thanks!! The bean will never be the same!! Keep rockin' guys!!" ROCKIN REED: "Once again "The Pie" rocked are asses off. The only thing that calmed the huricane was at break when the the bean turned into Club Majestic with its hip hop(yuck). Normal heads prevailed and CP rocked the house down on its 2nd set. Keep Rockin!!!" Jennifer Wileman: "It was my first show and I am hooked. You guys were better than some of the stuff on the radio!!!! Awesome!!!" Mel: "Seeing Cherry Pie - 8 dollars. Buying drinks for me and my friends - 15 dollars. Running off with two Cherry Pie posters after the concert - priceless." Madtown girl (Rose): "I am STILL dancing today. Please come back to the Mad-city SOON!!!! Rocking with Cherry Pie went to the top of my most fun ever list. Thanks Debbie for telling me to see these guys. P.S. My feet really hurt." steve - the traveling saleman: "i'm not from this area, but was up here for business. Saw you guys twice and both were the highlight of my stay in Mad city. You guys f--ing rock! Thanks, Stacy, for telling me about Cherry Pie!" |
