Faces in the Crowd |
A Word from Josh: This certainly was not our best performance. John sounded pretty damn good despite battling a bad cold, I was dragging after a full day of driving back from a short vacation in Kentucky and the show was marred by some significant technical glitches, particularly during the first few songs of the second set. But this was Rooters, so of course the crowd contributed plenty of magic to make up for our shortcomings. In the end, all that support helped ensure that we had a great time which helped ensure that everybody else had a great time. For me, it sure didn't hurt that during the drum solo I visited the birthday party in the VIP section where they fed me plenty of cake. Mmmmm, I like cake. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Brian: "Great show - just one complaint - around the last 2 songs it got really, really drunk... Or was that just me?" Amanda: "Great show! You guys rock my world!" johnny: "Good show but Josh's tone hit a all time low.If sounding like your swinging a cat by it's tail over your head he's got it down pat.Man you got to stop buying your equipment at rumage sales. My head still hurts!" Yvonne: "Great show, had a blast!!!!!!!!!" Sarah: "I brought along my little sister to this show. She's not into 80's rock AT ALL, but she did have one nice comment that cracked me up: "He's got a really good microphone!"" Bittersweeteus: "First thing that comes to mind when you walk into Rooter's and know CherryPie is the live entertainment is: Gonna Raise Some Hell!! You just can't help not raise hell when you see those CP guys put on a performance that puts you into one f**king kick-ass mood! Then there's John, with his non-stop aggressive attitude and a body to match, has so much energy radiating from him that it makes you sweat. You hate when it all comes to an end, but the only thing left to do is to wish them a sweet adieu until the next time." Eric: "Another great show. You guys are awesome. I loved the song choices. Don't worry about the technical difficulties...shit happens! I will be rockin with the pie again on April 22nd for my buddies bachlor party. See ya then, keep it hard and heavy." Josh: "That was a great show! After that I have to go to more!" Brent: "Great show!! Worth the drive from Minneapolis, and the $250 for the ticket I got on the way!!" Misty: "It was definately worth the hour and a half trip to Waukesha. I don't know but Jim Beam never tasted sooooo gooood! Can't wait til the Dry Bean on Friday." |
