| A Word from Josh: We expected this show to be a sharp contrast to last night when we played a packed house in our home territory. After all, that was our 39th time playing the Badger Bowl while tonight we were just hoping to make a decent first impression in our debut at Austin's. However, the two shows turned out to be very similar. I'm not sure where they all came from but Austin's was packed beyond capacity almost an hour before showtime and, when we took the stage, that crowd rocked our world in a big way. The atmosphere was electric all night and all the hospitality and support shown to us made us feel at home. We certainly look forward to returning to Austin's where, word has it, they're planning an expansion soon with a bigger room and a better stage. 'Can't wait. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Juli Reff: "You guys totally rocked Austin's. I have been waiting to see you and was so psyched that I finally did. I have big group of rockin' chicks that I hang with every weekend that loves to rock....can you say....ROADTRIP....HELLO WISCONSIN. You seriously blew my Illinois ass away!! Rockin vocals, guitars, keyboards and drums. Had an awesome time. Hope to see you guys again soon." Janice: "Oh man!! you guys are awesome!! (It was my first time seeing you perform). You guys have so much talent and such energy....What a great show." Laura: "Well boys justed wanted to say you guys gained a few extra fans from the Windy City. We came out to show our Cherry Pie virgins what we've been raving about and they totally loved you guys. Thanks for the great time. We'll be planning a road trip soon to come for another piece of the Pie :o)" Goldy: "This was my first time seeing CP and you guys ROCK!!!!! So glad I came out and tried a piece of the pie. Can't wait to take another bite." Bittersweeteus: "After a long trek down to Libertyville, Ill., we came upon a quaint bar, Austin's. The place was already packed with patrons whether they were there for dinner or the band. As the hours passed by, the place got even fuller. As they were anticipating CherryPie's appearance, the fans were already fired up and ready to rock. The CP guys put on a show for the Illinois fans that would stay with them way past this night. John, as usual,lead the fans into a rockn' frenzy. Even though this place was as full as the Badgerbowl, there weren't any problems because the fans were only there for a great time and nothing else." Karl & Kim Selega: "SOOOO glad we got to see you guys in Illinois again - remember way back when... "The Shack"??? Had a blast (like always) and turned a few friends into fans, too! Can't wait to ROCK again! Thanks!" Lisa: "Can't wait to see you guys at Austin's again. I am hoping to bring a lot of people with me. Thanks to Anna and Laura for turning me on to you guys!!!" |
