A Word from Josh:
Oddly enough, it's been three years since we headlined a New Year's Eve show. We were determined to make this one special. For John, that meant making the biggest mess in the history of the band, and that's really saying something. Indeed, throughout the fun-filled night, John repeatedly submerged the crowded room in massive amounts of confetti, styrofoam and asbestos. Throw in some balloons and a few hot 80s rock tunes and I do believe we have a party goin' on. In many ways, this was a lot like any other Cherry Pie show at Rooters, which is certainly a good thing. But of course you then add in the New Year's Eve traditions such as the midnight countdown, champagne toast, food buffet and extra-late bar time; and you got plenty of justification for the higher cover charge, don't you think? Well, a large portion of the crowd was not interested in taking advantage of our extended show, choosing to head back to their hotel rooms before the third set. Yeah, it was a pretty horny crowd. But any hot monkey lovin' in store for us in the band had to wait a couple more hours so that we could play our final set for the strong contingent of music die-hards who rocked with us until almost 3:00 am. I was surprised by how many people I met throughout the night who were seeing Cherry Pie for the first time. And it turns out that many of them were Rush fans... keeeewl! Amid all the partying John spoke eloquently about our gratitude for a great 2005 and sincere wishes for a great 2006 for everybody in the Cherry Pie family including for those serving in the US Armed Forces overseas. To everybody... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!     --Josh

CQQKIE:
"Well the last email i sent to ya all i commented on smoky bar, loud 80's rock, long hair, how could it be any better? Well I think we found out new years, with the women dressed up , showing cleavage, long legs(short legs too), heck i saw fish net stockings,if that isn't something 80's i don't know what is !!! The pitchers of Alabama Slammers helped for the flashback too!! A HUGE THANKS to ROCHELLE and TONI for keeping the pitchers flowing all night as we did not run out !! And to ya all for the Ringing in of the New Year!! And i mean ears and head still RINGING ! And I love it!! YUM,YUM,YUM,YUM !!! Cookies,PIE, and Slammers on new years !!! =)"

Lottie:
"Like I told Josh at the show, that night was the first I'd seen you guys. I already knew I must be in for something good when I kept getting the "Cool!" and "I heard they're really good" from people at work, family, etc when I told what I was doing for NYE. But I had NO IDEA it would be THAT good! All I can say is you'll see me in the crowd when ya come back in Feb... and March! You've definitely got a new fan... all the way from WV LOL"

Michelle:
"Happy New Year 2006! What an awesome way to spend the evening, 8o's rock and the CP family of friends. I don't get to see you all as much as I would like to these days, but you're always in my heart. I am not certain if I ever thanked you for adding Monkey Business to the set list, but thanks for not making me beg and pout everytime I see you guys! Love you all and thanks for rocking in my New Year!!!! XOXOX"

Bittersweeteus:
"New Year's Eve is a night for partying and celebrating the end of an era and the beginning of another one. No greater way to celebrate this event,is with CherryPie! They played as if they had three minutes to go in the 4th quarter of the final game of the season. With an unyielding drive to end it with a scoring touchdown. And with the same enthusiasm, they started the new season. John, being very diligent and exuberant, which is well proven by his Slayer shirt, lead the fans into the new year by showing his appreciation for their support by way of a toast. And not to mention, he also toasted his band members and the men and women who are serving our country. I tip my hat and give a toast to you guys for an outstanding year in 2005! I wish you luck and cheer you on in the new year!!!!"

Debbie & Gary:
"What a wonderful night we had rocking with you guys for New Years. What a great show as always. We had a great time seeing you guys and alot of our friends there. We could really tell that you enjoyed it as much as we did. We could not think of any other way that we would have wanted to celebrate the old year leaving and the new year coming in beside rocking and partying with you. It has been a little over a year seen we starting going to see you guys rock. You guys helped us enjoy 2005. We are looking forward to another wonderful year rocking with Cherry Pie."

Jewelz:
"Well it was one hell of a way to end the year I'll say that. As always it was great to see everyone (Poison, Julie, Tammy, the other Tammy, Jas, Greg & Jeannie, Jody & Michelle) and rock the night away with the great friends! I wish everyone a wonderful 2006 and many more CP shows to rock to!"

Steven C Jensen:
"Sure was loved it. Have a few pics from it."
