A Word from Josh: Once again we dragged our equipment down the stairs to Coconut Joe's and enjoyed ourselves as much as we could before having to drag it all back up again at the end of the night. Missing out on the fun was our drummer Rico who had a prior commitment. I think he was modeling thongs at the annual Out Magazine fashion show, but I could be wrong. Anyway, filling in on skins quite ably was Doug Laak, on loan from the Def Leppard tribute band Photograph. Doug did a great job preparing for this show and got rave reviews from band members, crew and fans alike. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the rest of us in the band made more mistakes than he did. Yeah! Great job Doug! Way to make us look bad! The roomed wasn't exactly packed, which allowed many of our regular fans a bit more elbow room near the stage than they are used to. One of the people in attendance was Scott Walczak of one of my very favorite Wisconsin bands Outlander (imagine a mix of Rush and Soundgarden, THAT's Outlander). Of course, there was plenty of crazy enthusiasm throughout the night from both familiar and new faces in the crowd. We look forward to seeing many of you at Rooters on New Year's Eve. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? |
