A Word from Josh:
Miserable rainy nights often result in a whole lotta indoor fun. Such was the case Friday at the Dry Bean Saloon. Things didn't start out all that great. The crowd was not particularly enthusiastic during the first few songs. But by midway through the first set the place was packed and really starting to to rock. By break time, we knew we had another outstanding show on our hands. The masses of people pressing toward the stage created a rock concert atmosphere which kicked our ass all night. In fact, I must say that the quality and quantity of beautiful women near the stage was amazing. I remember thinking to myself "So, this is what Poison gets to look at every night." John commented on the subject after we played "The Trooper"... "I wonder if Iron Maiden gets hot babes at their shows the way we do?" he asked aloud. In addition to local fans and friends who traveled from around Wisconsin, we were delighted to meet people visiting from San Diego and Mexico City. We're goin' international baby! The success of the show led to a change of perspective afterward. The rain, which had been so annoying earlier in the day, felt refreshing and fun as we loaded out at the end of the night. We come back to Madison in just two weeks playing the Badger Bowl on November 5. It will be interesting to see if we can maintain this kind of momentum there.     --Josh
