A Word from Josh:
Day Two of our State Fair experience and it was truly the realization of positive thinking. All night John harped on the idea that at the State Fair every night is Saturday night. Low and behold, despite threatening skies all day, tonight turned out to be even better than last night, and that's really saying something. The show rocked, full of people drinking, having a great time, dancing on tables and making all kinds of noise. Basically, our attitude was... if the State Fair won't bring us to a Saturday we will simply bring the Saturday to us. It certainly felt like that was exactly what happened. So many friends among the big crowd, most of whom we won't see again for a couple of months because this was our last Summer show in the Milwaukee area. But we know they'll be back, and so will we, bigger and better than ever. Thank you so much to the stage and pavilion staff who treated us so nice including the beer vendors who really set the tone for everybody. And an extra special thanks goes out to all of you who continue to make the Cherry Pie experience what it is.     --Josh

VOICES FROM THE CROWD:
Were you at this show?
Would you like to comment on it?

YouthGoneWild:
"Let me just say...WOW. What a great 2 days. I just want to send out a huge thanks to the band as well as all the "regs" that I had the opportunity to hang out with. It is always nice to hang out with such a great group of people. I am really looking forward to the indoor season. Hopefully I can make the trip to Black Earth on Saturday, if I don't drink myself stupid at the all you can drink beer festival in Madison Saturday. Peace I out, and for those about to Rock, I salute you!!!"

Jewelz:
"2 days in a row...Whew...but most of the gang were troopers as some had a very rough Tue morning after all the festivities the night before....yet we still managed to make the show right Poison and Youth ;-) Thankfully my foot was feeling a bit better which allowed me to partake in much more dancing than the night before with my northern WI dance partners. Sad to see an end to the summer season, but atleast we went out with a terrific group (Jody, Michelle, Greg, Poison, Jas and the Waukesha boys and we missed you Kat!) Bring on the Indoor season...till then everyone!"

Poisonchick2000:
"You guys ROCKED!! I had a blast both nights at the fair. Even managed not to lose my car the second night. What an awesome performance you guys put on. The crowd loved you and I have a feeling you made a lotsof new fans. I know one for sure. My friend Cathy had never seen you guys before and just LOVED you. It was great to see so many people between Monday and Tuesday (Kat, Julie, Dawn, Tammy, Erica, Chris, the Waukesha boys, Jas, Jody, Michelle.) I'm sure I missed a few in there. But I luv ya all."

Laurel Canyon:
"Monday night was an awesome, wild, energized show!! It could of gone on all night!! I thought Tuesday would be a bit more laid back after the intensity of the nite before. Well, if I was tired it vanished as soon as the music started and CP played as though they had just returned from a vacation...singing, moving, goofing(!) Another great nite of music and dancing for everyone! Outstanding song selections on both nights! But we're getting spoiled now....why aren't they playing tonite???!!! Ha!!"

A Naw T 1:
"Haven't seen a CP show in a while, as my schedule has been conflicting with opportunities to see ya, however, I brought my 4-year old daughter for her first time, and she loved it!! Can't wait to hit some indoor venues (i.e., Kelly's II - my favorite place to see you), although outdoor Pie is just as good!! Have a good "rest of summer," and I'll be ready for my next "Pie Fix.""

Bittersweeteus:
"Both nights were impressive and at the same time, overwhelming. So much was going on, it's hard to choose which was the best. The band's performance was impeccable! John was intoxicating, with his moves and strong fluent voice. I met some new and old fans, and had a fantastic time! Thanks guys for a great night."
