A Word from Josh:
The state got pounded by rain the night before, and I should know, I was out camping at the time. A few hours later I was driving up from Madison under a completely clear and sunny sky... until the last 5 miles before Plymouth. Now, I'm not talking about a few clouds rolling in. No, this was like entering a thick haze that shrouded the city like the island that King Kong came from. It was almost spooky. But, despite the menacing skies, for the most part the rain stayed away, but so did the crowds. Wet fields had forced the cancellation of the big softball tournament and only a couple hundred people decided to venture out to see if the band was still going to play. That being said, it stands to reason that the people who were in attendance were the cream of the crop. I don't know if it was the acoustics of the large tent, but this crowd was loud, much louder than many larger crowds we've seen. That really kept up our spirits as the show came off rather smoothly, although we almost had to quit halfway through because of a near-tragic nacho cheese accident in the dressing room during the break. The event staff were way cool, and you know I love any gig that involves free food. It had been a while since we ventured up to this part of the state which made for a fun reunion with some old friends. They really seemed to appreciate being a part of such and intimate show and there was a lot of talk about coming down for our Summerfest appearance and other upcoming big gigs. The tone of the night grew increasingly relaxed and casual which led to our show running late. When we finished our second set the few dozen people who were left really showed us what they were made of with a loud ovation that just wouldn't quit. I swear, this audience deserved an encore more than any we've seen this year. Unfortunately, it was already after midnight and a gathering group of police officers made it clear that we were done for the night. --Josh

"You guys sounded great! I only wish that the weather would have cooperated for you. I hope you still will play around this area! Awesome show!"

"Hubby the kids and I started out on our journey at about 3:00 Sat. afternoon,we left Lake Geneva dressed in shorts, sandals, t-shirts etc. since it was blue skies, blazing sun and hot and humid!! Well just outside of Milwaukee the clouds starting rolling in, we said oh it's just from the lake........but the farther north we went we became enveloped in a blanket of clouds and a foggy mist! this followed us all the way to Plymouth :( We drove straight to the soccer park where the bash was to be held and it didn't look good no softball games, no people, only a tent with CP's truck unloading eqipment!! We went and checked in at our hotel and which luckily had a super Walmart next door because we needed a jacket and shoes and socks for the kids! We came back to the grounds around 7:45 and saw about 20 people (mostly ppl. working the bash) the guys were in good spirits despite what looked like a wasted trip!!! They came on stage with their usual exuburance and had the small local beer and brat lovin' crowd standing watching in awe!! Right away heads were bangin, feet were tapping, and you could hear people singing away to their old favorites. Soon a small crowd of about 50 or more started to move closer to the stage and get involved! i'm not sure if it was the confetti or John's corney lines that caught their attention? The "guyz from Waukesha" made the trip and rocked the night away with pitchers in hand! I really missed alot of the familiar faces (I called Jewelz and Poison a bunch) but it was kinda neat to see the guys play for such a small crowd they were very laid back and just had fun with the night!! Can't wait for the guys to be back in the area!!! How many more days until Summerfest????!!!!"

"Another great Cherry Pie show. I wish the weather would have been a little better, oh well! It is always nice to see a band that can work with whatever comes up. While the crowd was not the size that we would have liked to see those who were there had a good time. Yes KittyKat we made it home okay although once the beer caught up to me I don't remember too much of the end of the drive... I can't wait until Summerfest. Until then, keep on keepin on, Life's a garden, dig it!!!"

"This show was worth the two hour drive. From the time I arrived to the time it was over, I never had so much fun. It was one eventful night! The bands performance was exhilerating and very crowd pleasing. As for John, he broke from those chains, and unleashed his domineering and wild side! It took me by surprise but I was elated by it. This night was way beyond impressive, it was mesmerizing, high-spirited, and I just didn't want it to end."

"Just wanted to comment on the performance Saturday night. It just shows what true professionals that you are. Whether, should be weather, it is playing in front of 700 or 75 people you put on the best performance that you can. You can bet that the lucky fans that did go to the show got there moneys worth. Most bands can only wish to have that much dedication to there music and fans. 2 thumbs up!!! P.s. Small crowds just mean that the porta johns are cleaner and no lines!!!!!!"

"I was really looking forward to this show because I had recently graduated from tech school and this was the first Saturday night I had been out in about six months. Thanks to Josh for giving me a hard time about all the Rush songs I picked-I noticed you played one but how was I to know you played almost everything I named when I was taliking to everyone!! Sorry we can't get to Summerfest-July just too busy. We will be at Brat Days and we are trying to make State Fair. See you soon!!!"
