A Word from Josh:
What a great night. A fun festival, perfect weather, a big stage and a huge tent which facilitated a "family crowd" during our first set and which was packed with a "rock crowd" during the second. It doesn't get much better than that. We really felt like we were in our element. Ironically enough, in the past we'd always had trouble booking these types of church festivals, presumably because they feared that we were too "heavy" or not family-oriented enough. Well, hopefully that perception is changing and we'll be doing more of these kinds of shows in the future. Anyway, we had a blast. During the first set the area in front of the stage was occupied by a bunch of children, many of whom belonged to some of our "regular" fans. They proved to be quite entertaining when we shot off our confetti cannons. The kids scurried around picking up the bits of paper and throwing them at each other. For a while their energy seemed boundless. Before the show John was very helpful in making sure all the little ones had hearing protection (are we a full-service band or what?). As night fell the kids cleared out and the tent filled in with hundreds of rock-n-roll party animals. The beer was flowing, the tunes were pumping and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Several motorcycle enthusiasts were coming and going all night near the tent entrance, often with a large engine roar. This served to add to the exciting ambience, but I also found it a bit confusing because it sounded like the sound effect we use at the beginning of "Girls Girls Girls". More than once I looked up fearing that my keyboard was malfunctioning. In the end, we were glad to be able to see many of our friends in a more family way, and we also seemed to make a lot of new fans. That's always nice. We'd like to thank the festival organizers for making this a successful night for everybody and a fun experience.     --Josh

Looking forward to many more outside festivities with CP. Maribeth is it August yet!!!! ;) wink*wink"

Greg Godina:
"Last Friday night was my first time at a Milwaukee area church festival. When I got there I was surprised that Lonnie and his better half Christ remember me from the Firehouse show! I was even more surprised that they even introduced me to Steph, Kitty Kat and others. So thank you to Lonnie for introducing them to me and thanks to Cherry Pie for putting on a heck of a show. To me, the only thing that stole the show was the all of the kids having fun with the confetti."

jerrilynn:
"hi all! wow!!! was great to finally see the band at a church festival. great show. great crowd!. great music. great spandex! :-) keep rockin! dont change a thing ."

LUNA:
"St. Vincent Pallotti - WOW!!! The 80's... So many good songs to choose and pick from, you're on the right track. You guys have got to try "Last Chance" by Shooting Star [that was in the 80's wasn't it?] and or "Unchain The Night" by Dokken. Hey... Will there ever be any originals? I'd be interested to see what you guys have in ya!!! Rock Hard, Ride Free my fellow musicians!!! I'm sure myself and some of my friends will stop in whenever you're in the Metro Milwaukee Area."
