A Word from Josh: We were glad to get back in the game after having to cancel last week's show. John's voice returned and so did the Cherry Pie magic. The packed house was an indication that we had not lost any momentum. The show went pretty smoothly, but my night was tainted by multiple technical problems which struck on two particular songs, one of them being "Ah Leah". Oh well, they can't all be perfect and that's the risk I run by using so much different equipment. As usual, we had several women celebrating birthdays and we made the most of the occasion. One of the birthday girls was Suzi, who is one of the "Fondy Four" who came down from Fond du Lac. During the second set her friends surprised her with a birthday cake that was decorated with a picture of the band. Each of the ladies called dibs on particular pieces of cake so that they could eat their favorite band member. I had some after the show and we've never been so delicious. The crowd included other Milwaukee area musicians including members of Dynasty and Mt. Olive. Overall the show went very well and the crowd rocked, but toward the end things got really wild, even for us. Shane gave a hilarious geography lesson with a bra that had come from a woman in the front row. We had difficulty staying on track during the last few songs as the distractions became more... well, distracting. It was all great fun and a wonderful way to come back after a disappointing week. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go finish my taxes. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Mt. Olive-Droopy and Jim: "After we played at a wedding ha ha ha we on the way home we decided to come check you out. Wow what a kick ass party going on. Love it. We had flashbacks of the old TA Verns days. Keep up the good work and hope to see you guys again." What better way to celebrate than with your best friends and favorit band!" |
