A Word from Josh:
For better or worse, the Badger Bowl has been virtually a home away from home for me for many years. I've played there so many times with a lot of different bands, I've run lights there for other bands, I've seen dozens of other bands there and occasionally I just hang out there and watch other people get drunk. With that kind of history for me it wasn't hard to get nostalgic when, during set up, I heard Blood, Sweat & Tears' "Spinning Wheel" on the jukebox. When I was a small kid (yes, I was small once) BS&T was one of the very few "hip" things that my Dad played on the stereo at home. I grew up loving that song. So much so that in 1993 I recorded a "remake" of it featuring the unique vocal talents of George LeGros, a close friend of mine who died of cancer in 2001. He and I worked together at the Badger Bowl many times over the years and hearing the song made me think of him. Well, a Cherry Pie show isn't really the best place for wistful meloncholy. Fortunately, I got over it by the time we hit the stage. The show went well. Not quite as packed as our last visit here, but that just meant a little more elbow room for people to enjoy themselves. Once again we helped bartender Tanya celebrate her birthday and I must say that she was looking hotter than ever. With another show coming up in less than 24 hours you might think that we'd hold back a bit to save our energy... but we're not that smart :-P     -Josh
