A Word from Josh: Our first show at the Anchor Inn was last January and here we are, a mere 13 months later, playing here for a seventh time. Of course, one factor in this rather anomalous statistic is that the Anchor Inn is a good venue for both Summer and Winter shows. Their "barge" stage out back provides a great setting for live music on warm Summer nights against the backdrop of the Rock River. But on February nights when the river is frozen the Anchor Inn is still a great place to play. Their indoor facility is a great room with a high ceiling and that concert hall feel. Tonight we were fortunate enough to fill that hall with a healthy looking group of people who seemed to be looking for a good time. The full house was a very welcome sight, especially following last night's disappointing turn-out in Milwaukee. One notable moment of the show came when we turned the microphone over to Heather Illbeck to sing "Don't Stop Believing" with us. Why did we do this? Because she wrote us a nice email and asked if should sing with us. She did a nice job and was a big hit with the crowd. Now, if you wrote to us and made a similar request I'm not guaranteeing that we'd comply but, hey, it could happen. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
