A Word from Josh: This was Cherry Pie's first time playing at the DeForest 4th of July event but it wasn't the first time for Andy. He told us it would be great and he was right. Of course tomorrow's holiday made Tuesday night feel more like a Friday. Perfect weather was also a nice touch. As such people were out in droves in quest of a good time. The large beer tent that we played in was packed as packed can be. Although this venue was new to most of us, let there be no doubt, this was a Madison crowd. Madison has always been awesome to Cherry Pie. We even had three different friends join us on stage for some guest vocals over the course of the night. I think everyone would agree that it was Laura Long's unaccompanied rendition of the National Anthem that stole the show. It certainly was a rousing climax for an already outstanding evening. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Evan: "Why is your bass player singing Sweet Child o Mine now?" |
