A Word from Josh: In sharp contrast to last night's quagmire, today's weather forecast was for extreme heat. Fortunately it turns out not to be as extreme as predicted and we all cruised through the evening in relative comfort. This was our first time playing for the Elkhorn Fire Department. One of their strapping young firefighters is Mike Jessen who happens to be the son of Cherry Pie crew member Jennifer DeWitt. Our show began in broad daylight and it took a while to get the crowd to loosen up. They eventually got into the spirit and we all had a rockin' good time. The show ran until midnight and the last few songs saw the crowd thin out pretty drastically as if Cinderella had to get home in a hurry. One particular person in the crowd at the end of the night was my wife Tammy who had gone with a couple of friends to see Rick Springfield in Rockford. On their way back home heading up I-43 they saw the exit for Elkhorn and decided to drop in on our show. That was quite a pleasant surprise. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Greg Godina: "My wife Jeanine and I never seen Cherry Pie with Andy as their lead singer until this night. We both thought he was AWESOME!!!! We both were pleasantly surpirsed he actually is that damn GOOD!!!!" |
