A Word from Josh: Coming into tonight it had been 14 days since our last show. That might not seem like an unusually long time between shows, but in contrast to the busy Summer schedule that we recently completed, it seemed like an eternity. It was enough for me to question my muscle memory regarding guitar solos or what cables plug into what jacks. Well, maybe that's due to old age. Regardless, I did end up remembering enough of my job to get through the night without incident. Apparently the same held true for the rest of the band as well and I think we put on a pretty solid show. This was Andy's ninth show overall as our lead singer, but it was his first time playing with us in what would commonly be considered the Milwaukee area. He hails from Madison and this was a great opportunity for many of our Milwaukee friends to check him out for the first time. We played for a pretty spectacular crowd which included a striking amount of first-timers (often referred to as Cherry Pie virgins) most of whom seemed to have a great time and could not have possibly cared less that we recently changed lead singers. For those who do care, it was with ironic excitement that we learned a few days ago that our former long-time front man John Swenson has joined up with Andy's former band Kings of Radio. So, in the grand scheme of things, it would appear that the two bands simply swapped singers. Life can be funny that way. Anyway, you can find out where you can see John in action via the Kings of Radio website. -Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
