A Word from Josh: This was the fourth year in a row that we've played in Columbus as a part of their 4th of July Festival. The one notable difference this year is that our show came four days AFTER the 4th of July. All of our previous appearances here have been on July 3. In most other respects the event was very much the same as in the past, which is a good thing. In addition to plenty of familiar faces that we were pretty much expecting to see in attendance, there were others that we were more surprised to see such as Johanne's relative Martina who was visiting from the Czech Republic. I was also surprised to see the esteemed blues guitarist/singer Mojo Perry who was on hand in his capacity as a security guard working the main entrance to the venue. Hey, even the best musicians need to make a living somehow. It was fun catching up with him before the show. Another person in attendance was 8-year-old Isaac Peck along with a great many relatives. Isaac has been to a few of our shows before and that has inspired him to learn to play guitar. He has progressed pretty well, so much so that his Dad secretly arranged to have him play the distinctive rhythm guitar part on "Enter Sandman" with us as part of the show. He was pretty surprised at first but he quickly acclimated himself to the stage, played the guitar like a boss and was a huge hit with the crowd. "Future Rock Star!" declared John after his performance. That was one of many high points in a strong show blessed by perfect weather. Thank you to the Columbus 4th of July Festival for bringing us back again. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it?
