A Word from Josh: I've mentioned before how Wisconsin Rapids played a large role in the early days of Cherry Pie. That's why it's particularly sweet to be playing here on a regular basis over the past couple of years. The full-circle nature of tonight's show was on full display in the crowd as we saw older fans such as Cheryl, Ann and Ron, who have been supporting the band since quite literally the beginning, and newer fans like Cassidy and Reah, who weren't yet in kindergarten when we played our first show in the Rapids. And we were fortunate to also be playing for hundreds of other people in between those two demographics. Three hours before the show I walked up to the front bar where I met Chris who was celebrating her 50th birthday with several friends and family members. Her party had nothing to do with our show and she didn't know anything about Cherry Pie. I took it upon myself to sell her on the idea of sticking around for the show. I was successful as she did stay and seemed to really enjoy our performance, but none of her friends stuck around. So, now she's left to tell them about what a fun time they missed. --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? : "" |
