A Word from Josh:
Tonight was the second half of our "St Patrick's Day Irish Pub Tour" and it turned out to be just as spectacular as our show at Mo's Irish Pub on Thursday complete with a full house of Celtic energy. As is often the case at BuBs, there were several parties going on before the show including one celebrating my own wedding anniversary. It was great for my wife Tammy and I to have a reunion of sorts for friends who attended our wedding which took place in this very building back in 2012. Several people were celebrating birthdays tonight as well including our good friend Sue Mudra whose ample guest list included a few people who would be seeing Cherry Pie for the first time. The last hour before showtime found me enjoying the festivities and filling up on pizza and cake. The show got off to a strong start and early on John brought giddy bachelorette Bridget Botts up on to the stage for a candid conversation. Apparently Bridget has been a Pie fan for a while and seems to remain so even after John's public interrogation of her. She brought a lot of friends and we really appreciate her celebrating such a wonderful occasion with us. The rock n'roll excitement continued into the second set and down the stretch our trusty young roadie/Frankie understudy Quinton Kufahl sat in on drums for several songs. Frankie took the opportunity to hang out in the crowd and appreciate the stage show that we've worked so hard to put together from a perspective we rarely get to see ourselves. My anniversary party reached a climax as I brought my wife Tammy up on stage to dance with us during "Talk Dirty to Me." Toward the end of the show John explained to the gathered crowd that we've adopted a new policy of not doing the whole "encore thing." He pointed out that it really comes down to simple math as leaving the stage and coming back for another song or two wastes time during which we could actually be playing more music. In the end we enjoyed another excellent BuBs experience and we hope you did too.     -Josh
