A Word from Josh: Tonight continued our tradition of playing the Badger Bowl on nights associated with holidays. We were glad to see a lot of people out to get their pre-Thanksgiving groove on. The large crowd was excited to see John playing in Madison for the first time since his long injury-related lay-off. The first set went really well. Things got even more interesting during the second set with a series of guest performers. Our original, long-time, always-popular bass player Shane Loy was in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and joined us to sing "Talk Dirty to Me" to a rousing ovation. He's still got that radiant smile and knows how to use it. Later on our young friend Quiton Kafahl came up to play drums. This is not unusual, Quinton has sat in for a song several times before. However, this time he kept playing for several songs. I was beginning to wonder if Frankie had quit the band. Frankie eventually returned to the stage and along with him came Charles Thomas, the fair-haired Adonis who filled in for John during most of his three month absence. Charles sang one of his personal favorites "Hysteria" to a very approving audience. The Badger Bowl continues to be a great room for us and people are already abuzz about our upcoming performance here for New Year's Eve. It is going to be epic. Now, get some sleep and have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! --Josh Were you at this show? Would you like to comment on it? Charles Thomas: ""Fair-haired Adonis". I like that!" Richard: "I am very thankful for Cherry Pie!" |
